Brigadoon 2nd event - Sunday 1st June 2025 - Coffee house and roastery in West London

So, the Saturday fair was a real success, but fairs can be  a very transactional experience.

One of the main reasons Luke and I are doing Brigadoon, is for the social element, sharing and turning on people to cool stuff that might be less known

So the 2nd event is in a cool environment. A coffee house in West London, with plenty of space where we will be able to play sounds, chat and turn peeps on

The joy of discovery should be a fun  and rewarding experience for all

We will be posting new additions (records and other stuff) and other information over the next few weeks

So hopefully see you there!

BRIGADOON: Sneak preview videos of records that will be available at our first London event in London April 2025

Here are some videos clips with the type of records that will be available at the first event in April

Like its mystical counterpart, Brigadoon Records will always surprise those who make the effort to reach it. In order to maintain this unpredictable mystique, we want to emphasise that none of our records can be reserved or bought except by those who make the effort to find us.

Online shopping is just so boring and transactional…

Visit us in person and you will find treasures for every budget. All sold on a first come first served basis.

For those unable to visit due to geography or other constraints, records unsold in our physical appearances may become available online or remotely, particularly in the Robin Wills’ Purepop lists which will continue to go out once or twice a year.

For each event we will attempt to offer significant quantities of new stock in order to make it worth seeking us out whenever we appear.

No more boring dealers with stale stock low turnover.

Also the bargains bins won’t be full of  the usual “next step is landfill” records

Stay tuned for the first date and location being announced next week

Brigadoon Records: Where did it go? ... when will it next appear?

Brigadoon Records is a new venture from Robin Wills and Luke Harris.

Robin and Luke have been friends for over 40 years, sharing a passion for rock n roll music, obscure records, horror movies and other strange emissions from the cultural underbelly.

Having spent decades accumulating giant collections of records, books and other ephemera, the time has now come to start making some of these treasures available to others

The subject of a 1947 Broadway musical and later a 1954 Hollywood musical with Gene Kelley and Cyd Charisse, Brigadoon is an enchanted village in the Scottish Highlands that only appears once every hundred years. Invisible to the outside world, time stands still for those fortunate enough to visit this magical place.

In our case, Brigadoon Records will materialize more often than every century. Whether it be as a pop-up store in different London locations, at record fairs, markets or gigs, it is expected to become a monthly event, announced around 4 to 6 weeks ahead of each incarnation.

Brigadoon is conceived as more than just a record shop.  We hope to offer books, posters, music ephemera, original art, and whatever cool and unusual things we can excavate from the depths of our collections.  Ideally it will become a destination for like-minded misfits to come and discuss mutual obsessions.

Robin and Luke are both selling individually under the common Brigadoon umbrella

Robin will primarily focus on a specially curated selection of highly prized items covering 60s Garage, Freakbeat, Surf, Heavy Psych and Bonehead, along with Junkshop Glam and Power pop. From hard-to-find records that are rarer than hen’s teeth to others that are far more affordable…

Luke will present a wider variety of records from the 50s to the present day encompassing a bit of almost everything from jazz, country and rockabilly to punk, metal, reggae and hip hop.

Stay tuned for more news next week...
